Respuesta breve: A video metadata checker reads the MP4, MOV or M4V container and organizes what is present into AI provenance, descriptive metadata, dates, media ranges and a bounded raw box tree. AI Remover Pro performs this inspection locally and does not change the selected file.

What does the Video Metadata Checker show?

The report covers file and container facts, C2PA / Content Credentials blocks, readable provenance strings, encoder or application metadata, timestamps, media-data ranges, and a bounded raw ISO-BMFF box tree with offsets and sizes.

Check metadata video AI signals carefully

A C2PA manifest can describe the generator, action history and digital source type embedded in a file. Its presence is useful provenance evidence, but this checker does not perform certificate-chain validation. Missing metadata also does not prove that a video is human-made.

Private, read-only inspection

The selected file remains on your device. Binary payloads are summarized by type, size and location instead of dumping large opaque data into the page, while readable values are safely limited and displayed for review.

How to check video metadata

  1. Choose an MP4, MOV or M4V file.
  2. Review AI provenance and descriptive metadata.
  3. Open individual blocks to see readable values and byte details.
  4. Expand the raw box tree when deeper container context is needed.

Preguntas frecuentes

How do I check metadata in a video?
Choose an MP4, MOV or M4V file. The checker reads its container locally and groups the metadata fields and box details into a report.
Can the checker identify AI-generated video metadata?
It can show supported C2PA / Content Credentials and readable AI-related provenance values present in the file. It is not a pixel-level AI detector.
Does C2PA prove a video is AI-generated?
A manifest may state a digital source type or generator, but interpretation depends on its claims. This checker reports embedded data and does not claim cryptographic signature validation.
Does checking metadata change the video?
No. The checker is read-only and does not create a modified copy.
Why are some values shown as binary?
Some metadata blocks contain signatures, hashes or encoded structures. The report limits large payloads for browser safety instead of presenting unreadable binary data as text.
