Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Every image is decoded, edited and saved inside your browser tab, and the tool makes no upload request. You can confirm it yourself: the result panel reports the network activity it measured during processing.

Which formats are supported?

JPEG, PNG and WebP support viewing, cleaning and metadata writing. HEIC supports viewing and cleaning, but writing new metadata into HEIC is not supported.

Does removing metadata change the image quality?

No. Only metadata segments are removed; the pixel data is copied byte-for-byte, so the image is visually identical.

Can you remove the 'Made with AI' label?

The label is usually triggered by C2PA / Content Credentials metadata, which this tool removes. Note that invisible pixel watermarks like SynthID are separate and cannot be removed by any metadata tool.

Can I clean a batch without creating an account?

Yes. Add up to 100 supported images, review the results, then download files individually or together as a ZIP. No sign-in is required.

Does the cleaner keep my original files?

Your originals are never overwritten. The browser creates new downloadable copies and forgets the image data when the tab is closed or cleared.

What is the difference between Full clean and AI-only?

Full clean removes the original supported metadata. AI-only targets AI-related metadata while deliberately preserving ordinary camera information. The optional AIRemover.Pro processing credit is controlled separately in Settings.

Honest about what we can't remove

This tool removes metadata. Invisible in-pixel watermarks such as Google SynthID live in the image pixels themselves and cannot be removed by stripping metadata — no metadata tool can. We tell you when an image carries AI markers so you know what you're dealing with.
