Short answer: AI Remover Pro inspects an image in your browser, with nothing uploaded, and reports whether it carries C2PA / Content Credentials, IPTC AI tags or generation parameters, plus its EXIF and GPS. Absence of these markers does not prove an image is not AI-generated, and it cannot detect invisible watermarks like SynthID.
What Content Credentials are
C2PA “Content Credentials” are a signed manifest recording how an image was made and edited. This tool tells you if one is present and its likely generator — useful for spotting AI-made or AI-edited images.
Limits of detection
Metadata can be stripped, so its absence proves nothing. And invisible pixel watermarks (e.g. SynthID) are not readable here. Treat this as a signal, not proof.
Why a stripped manifest still matters
Because a C2PA manifest is cryptographically signed, an image that still carries one is harder to fake than plain metadata — the signature breaks if the file is re-saved or edited without updating it. But manifests can also be removed entirely, so a missing manifest only means no claim survived, not that the image is untouched or human-made.
