- Short answer:
WebP stores metadata in EXIF, XMP and ICCP chunks. AI Remover Pro removes them in your browser and fixes the VP8X feature flags so the result stays a valid WebP. Your file is never uploaded.

Which WebP metadata gets removed
Extended WebP files can carry EXIF camera and GPS data, XMP descriptions or provenance, and ICC colour profiles. The report identifies the supported chunks found in each file instead of assuming every WebP contains the same data.
Clean WebP without another lossy encode
This WebP metadata remover updates the RIFF container and VP8X flags while preserving the existing VP8 or VP8L image payload. It does not render the image to a canvas, so metadata removal does not introduce another quality loss.
Check EXIF and GPS before sharing
A WebP exported from a phone or editor may retain its source metadata. Use the metadata viewer to inspect it first, or use Remove GPS from Photo when location is the only field you need to delete.
