That is a deliberate choice: an algorithm quietly deciding what counts as "the watermark" is also an algorithm that can quietly change something you didn't mean to touch.

What this can and cannot do

It can remove a visible logo, sparkle mark or badge stamped onto an image, by reconstructing that region from its surroundings. It cannot remove a watermark that lives in the pixel data itself rather than as a visible mark — Google's SynthID is designed to survive exactly this kind of edit, and no tool that only edits visible pixels (this one included) can honestly claim to remove it.

Frequently asked questions

Does this upload my image anywhere?

No. The region you select is filled entirely in your browser. Nothing about this operation involves a network request.

Will this remove Google SynthID?

No. SynthID is a signal embedded in the pixel data itself, designed to survive edits like this one. This tool removes a visible logo mark by replacing that region — it does not address in-pixel signals.

Does it lose image quality?

The selected region is genuinely replaced — that is the point — so it is not a lossless operation. Everything outside the region you draw is untouched.

Can it find the watermark for me?

No, and that is intentional. You draw the region (or use a corner preset); the tool never guesses what to remove.
